Can I do this if I’m not in Houston? And other good questions.

I’ve been receiving some thoughtful questions about The Sacred Threshold, and if you’ve been curious too, I wanted to share a few answers with you here, Reader.

Whether you're feeling unsure, new to this kind of ritual, or wondering if it’s the “right time”, just know this: your questions are welcome here. And so are you.

The first in-person group ritual is this Saturday, Dec 20th, so if you’ve been feeling the pull, this is your gentle nudge.

And if that date doesn’t work for you, don’t worry, there are other ways to join, including private 1:1 sessions where you choose the date and time that best fits your flow. I’ll share more on that below.

Let’s dive into your most asked questions...

Do I have to do both rituals? Or can I just do one?

You can absolutely do just one. Each ritual is a complete experience on its own. You can choose:

  • The Sacred Closing (end-of-year): Reflect, release, and reset your emotional landscape
  • The Sacred Unfolding (new year): Step into the new year with clarity, vision, and intention

Or, choose The Sacred Threshold bundle to experience both, a full-circle journey to close one chapter and begin the next with presence, peace, and soul-aligned clarity.

What’s the difference between the group sessions and the 1:1 sessions?

The group rituals happen on scheduled dates (like the first one happening this Saturday, Dec 20th). These small, intimate gatherings, are designed to help you feel supported, seen, and connected to others who are also reflecting, releasing, or beginning again. You’ll still have plenty of personal space, but there’s something sacred about doing this work in community.

The 1:1 sessions are private and fully personalized. You get to choose the date and time that works best for you. This is a beautiful option if you’re craving a quieter space to go deeper, want more individual guidance, or simply prefer to move at your own pace. It’s also great if the group dates don’t align with your schedule.

Both formats include the full ritual experience, you’re just choosing what kind of setting feels most supportive right now.

Can I do both rituals on the same day?

Yes! The two rituals are typically spaced out, but if you’re feeling ready to do both in one day, I offer that as a special extended session (about 5–6 hours total, with a rest break).

Just reply to this email with a few possible dates, and we’ll make it happen.

I'm not in Houston, can I join online?

Yes. Every ritual is offered both in-person and online (live, guided in real time).

You’ll receive the same experience: breathwork, ritual, journaling, and deep emotional release, all from the comfort of your own sacred space.

Is online still powerful? Will I get the same depth?

Absolutely. In-person carries the resonance of physical presence. Online offers the privacy, stillness, and safety of your own home.

Choose the setting where your body feels most at ease. That’s where the work goes deepest.

I’ve never done breathwork or used oracle cards, is this for me?

Yes, you don’t need any experience. Everything is explained and guided gently. You don’t need to “believe” in anything, just come with curiosity and a willingness to breathe, feel, and listen.

This isn’t about doing it right. It’s about creating space for your soul to meet you.

Is this intense or emotional? What if I don’t want to cry or share?

This ritual is deeply emotional, but never forced.

You might cry. You might laugh. You might just sit in stillness. All of it is welcome, and all of it is yours.

You’re never asked to speak or share if you don’t want to. This space is about being held, not being exposed.

How much does it cost?

Here’s the pricing for each experience:

  • The Sacred Closing or The Sacred Unfolding (group): $97
  • The Sacred Threshold (group bundle): $177 (save $17)
  • Private 1:1 session (single ritual): $297
  • Private Sacred Threshold Bundle (both rituals 1:1): $555
(Experience both rituals in a private container, on your own timing—sacred, personalized, and deeply held.)

I had a good year, but I still want to attend. Is this for me?

Yes. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek closure. Even joyful years deserve sacred reflection. Even easeful seasons deserve to be honored.

The Sacred Threshold holds space for it all, your wins, your grief, your transitions, and everything in between.

If you feel the pull toward stillness, celebration, or intention… this is for you.

I don’t see a time that works for me, can I request something?

Absolutely. If the listed dates don’t work, or you’d like to request a different time (solo or group), just reply to this email or fill out this quick request form. I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

Can I do this with a private group?

Yes! You can book a private ritual for 2–5 people, whether it's with friends, your partner, or a circle you trust.

Private group sessions can be hosted online or in person. Just reply to this email with a few details (how many people, date ideas, and setting), or fill out this form and we’ll go from there.

Reader, if you’ve made it this far, your body might already be whispering yes.

You don’t have to rush or force it.

But if you’re feeling ready to carve out a sacred pause, to end this year with intention, and begin the next with clarity, I’d be honored to hold that space with you.

Sending lots of love your way,

— Francisca Hernandez

I was zen doodling the other day, Reader. It’s a practice I’ve only recently taken up. At first, I felt this pressure to "do it right", to make the lines clean and balanced. Like there was some invisible standard I was supposed to meet. About halfway through, something in me softened. My breathing slowed, my grip loosened, and the need to make it perfect fell away. That’s when the page before me started to change. Not because I tried harder, but because I stopped trying to control it. It made...

This is usually the time of year when I take a step away from the newsletter and let the studio rest for a few weeks, Reader. And part of that is still true, this year has been anything but typical. Not just for me, but for so many of you. There’s been a lot of change, a lot of grief, and yet still woven throughout, moments of joy too. And all of it deserves to be honored. While I’ve paused my regular schedule for the rest of the year, I’ll still be in the studio solely to hold space for The...

I've been thinking about the message from this card I've been seeing a lot of this year, Reader. I pulled it earlier this year in the summer. Not by accident, not randomly, but after I guided myself through breathwork, intentionally asking for a sign from my niece who passed away this January. And it’s been showing up for me again and again… especially over the last few months. The card’s message is simple, celebrate your wins. But something about the following words really struck a cord deep...
